Helping women navigate trauma and addiction to find their way back home to themselves.
A Philosophy of Returning
I believe that healing is a process of returning—to ourselves, to our voices, and to a sense of home within our own lives. My approach is grounded in the understanding that transformation cannot be rushed or forced. It requires a steady, patient presence and a commitment to seeing possibility where others might see limitation.
My Professional Journey
I am a compassionate human being in service to life-long learning and development. My clinical roots are firmly planted in trauma-informed care and addiction recovery, specifically through my work supporting women at the Aventa Centre of Excellence for Women with Addictions. Those years taught me that the highest standard of care is one that prioritizes safety, dignity, and a deep respect for each person's unique story.
My Master’s of Counselling training at City University provided me with a graduate level foundation in understanding the complex systems we live within. Rather than just looking at symptoms, I look at the whole person. I've learned how to sit with people in highly charged or difficult moments, helping to find clarity and calm when things feel overwhelming.
Before transitioning into therapy, I spent over a decade as a practicing artist and studio founder. This background in fine arts is the quiet backbone of my practice. It taught me to value human processes, creative problem solving, and to understand that meaningful change requires a specific kind of presence, patience, and the resilience to see things through as they are being transformed. I bring this same grounded energy to every session, respecting the natural timing of your own internal shifts.
Values & Accountability
My practice is guided by a commitment to decolonizing principles and an ambition to realize accountable outcomes. I believe in the power of collaborative spirit; I strive to build rapport quickly and authentically with a diverse range of clients.
My work is deeply connected to the Calgary community and is informed by ongoing relationships and partnerships with First Nations. I operate with the understanding that we are all part of a larger system, and healing the individual is a vital step in healing the whole.
